Godfidence

(Inspired by Hebrew 13:5 - 

"I will never leave you nor forsake you")

It is not the sound of my own voice

that steadies me,

nor the strength of my own hands

that carries me forward.

 

It is the quiet assurance

that I am held,

that even in the valley

where shadows stretch long,

a Presence walks beside me.

 

Godfidence is not loud.

It does not boast,

does not demand attention.

It is the calm within the storm,

the whisper that says,

“You are mine. You are not alone.”

 

In weakness, it rises.

In silence, it speaks.

In uncertainty, it anchors.

It is the courage to step forward

when the path is unseen,

because the One who sees all

guides each step.

 

This is Godfidence—

not confidence in me,

but confidence in Him.

A trust that transforms fear,

a strength that outlasts the night,

a hope that cannot be shaken.
